Lions
Lions live in Africa.
A gang of lions is called a pride. A pride has dads, mums and kids.
A dad has long hair around his head. The hair is called a mane. The mum does not have a mane.
A baby lion is called a cub.
The mums rule the pride.
They work together to hunt for food and look after the cubs.
A mum picks up a cub with her mouth. The cub is not hurt.
The dads have an important job too. They stop animals from killing the cubs.
Lions climb well. They climb trees to look for prey.
