Horses and ponies
There are different sorts of horses and ponies. They can do different jobs.
A horse and pony
Big, strong horses can pull heavy loads. Smaller horses are fast. They are good to ride.
People race fast horses.
People can teach horses to do tricks.

What is a pony?
A pony is a sort of small horse with short legs. Ponies have thicker coats and manes than horses.
A horse's mane is the hair on its head.

They live where there is a lot of grass to eat. There can be lots of wild horses in a gang. A gang of horses is called a herd.
Horses are good at hearing and seeing. They need to spot animals that want to eat them, so they can run away.
